Thousands of individuals and families in St. Louis suffer because of inadequate quantity and quality of affordable apartments. The shortage of decent apartments accessible to lower-income earners leads to dire consequences, from social displacement to homelessness, and exacerbates poverty, economic instability, and health issues. It's unjust that hardworking individuals in lower-wage jobs struggle to secure affordable housing, living in fear of rent hikes or unresolved issues from absentee landlords. Let's stand together to ensure everyone has a stable, affordable place to call home. 

SITO's vision is that through the use of its selective rehab process, SITO and other nonprofits using a similar process, will revitalize hundreds of distressed buildings in St Louis to alleviate the unfair burden and stress the shortage of good, dignified rental housing places on the low to moderate income earner in the city.
