St John Lutheran School

A nonprofit organization

The Mission of St. John Lutheran School, New Orleans, is to share the grace and love of Jesus through worship, education, and service to the world around us. The purpose of the school is to provide high quality academic instruction as well as to provide for the spiritual, emotional, and physical well being of our students. St. John School is a mission and a part of St John Lutheran Church, New Orleans.

We are located in the heart of Mid-City, New Orleans. We have students from Pre-School through 8th grade. Over 80 percent of our students participate in the Louisiana Scholarship Program or other scholarship programs.
Our unique purpose is to provide an excellent Christ-centered educational program in which children are given an opportunity to grow academically, spiritually, emotionally, socially and physically. We seek to develop each student's God-given potential with the help of dedicated and qualified educators.

Our goal with the 2025 GiveNOLA campaign is to raise enough funding to replace and upgrade some of our existing physical education equipment and programs.

Testimonials

"St. John Lutheran School has been a blessing to our family. It provides the small class size and a caring, family-like environment I wanted for my daughter. She has continued to excel academically and athletically, year after year thanks to the instruction and encouragement received at St. John. We love St. John Lutheran School and are so grateful that they exist, not only for my daughter, but for future families and students." Renata R. (mother of a 7th grade student)
