SocialWorx Advocacy Group, founded in 2022 by Sammantha Megaw, is dedicated to empowering individuals to navigate mental health systems while addressing cultural needs. Based in Smith County, we are the only nonprofit focusing on underrepresented communities, fostering trust through cultural understanding training and comprehensive support.

Our impact is significant in regions 4 & 5, which have the highest suicide rates. We address mental health disparities by overcoming barriers like lack of access, language differences, and distrust of mental health professionals. Our free services include 1-on-1 mental health navigation, provider assistance, medication reminders, and follow-ups.

We offer cultural training for healthcare and social service providers, enhancing trust in underserved communities. Our training includes cultural competency and humility, with CEUs available for Texas Social Workers and Licensed Counselors.

By providing mental wellness resources and education, we ensure easier access to mental health resources during crises.
