The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., founded in 1981 and headquartered in Atlanta, GA,  represents more than 7,000 members of 65 chapters in 25 states and the District of Columbia. The all-volunteer Sacramento chapter was chartered in 2001 and is one of six NCBW chapters in California. NCBW Sacramento has participated in the Big Day of Giving since 2016.

Through numerous volunteer programs focused on Health, Education, Economic Empowerment, Strategic Alliances, and Civic Engagement, young girls and high school graduates are encouraged to set high educational goals. Through our mentorship and leadership training programs, they become empowered with the attitude, "I can do anything!" As a voice for African American women and young girls, NCBW values inclusion, racial and social justice, accountability, integrity, community service, and collaborative efforts.
