Woodland Train Depot is part of the Sacramento Valley Historical Railways and is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the railroad history of the Sacramento Valley.  It is comprised of individuals from varied backgrounds united by a common interest in railroading and railroad history.   We need funds to paint our beloved Engine.  Steam locomotive 1233 was built in July, 1918, by the Baldwin Locomotive Works of Eddystone, Pennsylvania.  It became one of 450 six wheeled steam locomotoves owened by the Southern Pacific during the 100-plus years that steam regned as king on the railroads.
