Davis Citizens' Coalition Against Violence DBA Safe Harbor Crisis Center

Safe Harbor is the first and ONLY domestic and sexual violence shelter and service organization in Davis County, Utah. We work with survivors and their children while they come into shelter or remain in the community. 

This is brand new territory for our organization and so exciting in terms of our capacity and the accessibility to survivors in Davis County! 

The Outreach Center, located at 280 N Union Avenue in Farmington, opened with the generous support of Christian Heritage Ministries and serves families and individuals impacted by domestic and dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, and sex trafficking. This a satellite location in Farmington that collocates sexual assault advocacy, legal advocacy, and domestic violence advocacy services in a community setting. Services available include:

• Crisis Counseling
• Case Management
• Protective Order assistance
• Stalking Injunction assistance
• Referrals
• Support for family and friends of survivors
• Economic Empowerment services
• Support groups including

  • Domestic Violence 201
  • Parenting Groups
  • Sexual Trauma and Recovery (STAR)
  • Teen-STAR
  • Children’s Groups
• All services are free
• Services are available in Spanish

Please give this year to help the new Outreach Center be successful and meet the needs of survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault by offering a safe place to rebuild their lives, heal their spirits, and learn skills to create a future free of violence.

Why are our services so important? Domestic violence is more prevalent in Utah than in the nation as a whole. 1 in 3 women in Utah will experience domestic violence in her lifetime versus 1 in 4 nationally. Additionally, this epidemic causes deaths. In the last 16 years over 40% of the homicides in Utah were attributable to domestic violence - children, mothers, fathers, whose lives are lost because of this hidden violence. Safe Harbor offers comprehensive services to address violence to help end domestic violence now and for the future.
