Clark County Safe Kids Coalition

Despite having a small staff, our coalition is very active in our community preventing injuries to children in various risk areas, including child passenger safety, drowning prevention, pedestrian safety, and home safety.

• We've made it safer for children to cross the street in front of several schools in school zones by setting up cone zones and stopping illegal U-turns
• We've partnered with Clayre's Pool Fence Fund to provide pool fencing for those who can't afford it to help keep their children away from the pool
• We've increased the number of carseat checkup events in our community to educate parents on the installation and use of their carseats

And all of this has been done on a shoestring budget. Think of what we can accomplish with more resources!
