The Saint Alphonsus Foundation exists to improve and enhance Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center's delivery of high-quality healthcare.  Our compassionate care is not only for the health of the body, but also of the mind and spirit.  Music therapy is a proven method to relieve suffering and enhance the positive experience of patients and caregivers and is known to help in the following ways:

- Manage pain and nausea
- Decrease anxiety
- Promote relaxation
- Help overcome fatigue
- Improve general quality of life

At Saint Alphonsus, we have a certified music therapist (meet Bill Dluhosh in the video above!) who incorporates music into the care plan of a patient who will benefit. We also have a program called "Music in the Air," which brings music to the healthcare environment - be it in patient rooms, common areas, or even small concerts in the cafeteria for everyone to enjoy.
