Why A K-9 Unit?                                                                                               

With the addition of a certified dual purpose K-9, we can continue to make St. Croix Falls a safer place to live and raise a family.         

The city continues to see a rise in drug arrests and related offenses.  Our proximity to the Twin Cities serves as a pipeline for illegal drugs to the St. Croix Falls area.  Those offenders are responsible for narcotics reaching our city and the surrounding area. 

Community Relationships

St. Croix Falls Police work closely with our schools, businesses, and citizens. We have developed relationships through a well-educated and experienced staff to those we serve.  

The addition of a canine will help further those relationships through public contacts, demonstrations, education and providing an extra layer of safety and detection. The city offers a number of public amenities and attracts a large number of tourists.  

The addition of a canine will assist with crime reduction and maintaining a safe community.
