SAJE is an economic justice, community development, and popular education center that has been building economic power for working class people in Los Angeles since 1996. What do we mean by that? Well, we're here to make sure that the voices of the Figueroa Corridor community residents are heard and heeded in the halls of the City's planners, in the Housing Department, City Hall, and beyond. We work to increase tenants' rights, improve environmental conditions, increase local hiring, and more. Over the past thirteen years, SAJE's winning combination of community organizing, coalition-building, and grassroots policy has gained significant benefits for the community.
