Salem Christian Homes

Meet your neighbors in the community. For 53 years, over 400 people with disabilities such as Down syndrome, autism, and mental retardation have been trained and empowered through the loving Christian care at Salem Christian Homes.

Salem currently cares for 110 men and women in 19 community homes in Chino, Ontario, Upland and Lakewood. These men and women have ABILITIES. They volunteer at the animal shelter, 3-Way Thrift Store, work as janitors and fast food employees. They go to church, worship God, read the Bible. They are part of choirs, dance teams and "Aktion" clubs. They deserve to reach their full potential just as you and I.

And they need OUR help.

The Salem residents can't lobby their rights, and funding keeps being cut. The state and federal funding does not
cover the full cost to provide staff training, physical and occupational therapies, residential care, food, transportation, maintenance for the 19 homes and the list goes on. Salem is short $26 per person per day. That's almost $1,000,000 that Salem has to fundraise. Salem has only $150,000 LEFT TO FUNDRAISE BEFORE JUNE 30. Every donation counts.
