$6,000 Goal

Since 1971, the Salina Emergency Aid Food Bank has strived to meet the needs of those in Saline County, Kansas, with dignity and respect. Our mission is to engage the community to provide emergency needs of food, shelter and well-being.  With 7 different food programs, we are a lifeline to families struggling with food insecurity.  From kids to seniors, we provide safe access to healthy and nutritious food, as well as hygiene products.  In the midst of emergencies, we offer limited financial support to prevent evictions, utility shut-offs and disruptions in medical treatment. Using our community garden and kitchen, we offer educational classes and programs that support long-term food security, promote food justice and raise awareness for local foods.

Thus far in 2022, we have experienced a 50% increase in the number of households using our weekly grocery program.  The rising food costs are impacting everyone....and we need your help to keep our pantry stocked as every month we are giving out 15,000 more items than we did in 2021.   In-kind donations of product are slowing down and we are now using reserve funds to supplement our grocery budget.  Check out the charts below to learn more!
