Salt Lake Education Foundation

The Salt Lake Education Foundation was founded in 1990 by the Salt Lake City School District. The foundation accepts donations restricted to certain schools or programs and  unrestricted donations. One hundred percent of donations go to the designated projects. We are dedicated to strengthening the educational opportunities of students in the district.

One of our most impactful programs is the family support initiative. The focus of this effort is to provide classroom teachers and neighborhood schools with the resources to address the basic needs of students. Based on available resources and student need, students are provided with shoes, clothes, uniforms, winter coats, eyeglasses, emergency dental care, and dental sealants.

Our primary purpose is to seek funding and offer program support to a variety of initiatives that address the needs of the whole child, for we believe a child cannot learn if his or her basic needs are not met. The motto of Salt Lake Education Foundation is "Cultivating Resources for Salt Lake City's Public Schools."
