"Over the course of a single year, almost 5,000 people in the Pioneer Valley Region experience some period of homelessness. Close to half of these are families with children." (From the Pioneer Valley Plan to End Homelessness, 10 year plan, 2009)
Numerous studies reveal that keeping a family in their home costs far less than providing services while a family experiences homelessness. We have launched the Keeping Families at Home Initiative to help individuals and families to obtain permanent housing or who are in jeopardy of becoming homeless due to financial hardship.

Funds raised on Valley Gives Day will go directly to people within Franklin, Hampshire or Hampden Counties for rental/mortgage arrears or rental start up funds.
