Mission

To provide social and financial capital to people experiencing extreme poverty or homelessness in order to help them reach goals they have for themselves.

Description

Samaritan Capital Foundation connects community-based organizations with social and financial capital from individuals, corporations, and faith groups in their community. Together, we can support people experiencing extreme poverty or homelessness in achieving their goals.

SCF capital is distributed to organizations working with people in need to address unique financial and health barriers - like a rent payment, encouragement, a new ID card, a kind word, groceries - that are currently holding a client back from reaching their life goals. Just $250 can give a person in need access for a year. Access to rent payments, encouragement, and continued work on their journey home.

Looking for a way to get involved directly in giving social or financial capital? We have partnered with Samaritan (www.samaritan.city/equip) to provide a way for the community to support an individual by joining that person's team and performing a monthly act of kindness, whether through sending a message of encouragement or meeting a need.
