Samuel Szabo Foundation

The Samuel Szabo Foundation was created in 2012, to honor the memory of Samuel Robert "Sam" Szabo. Sam's journey through childhood cancer was the beginning of a vision to help children and families face this disease with strength, support and encouragement.

The Samuel Szabo Foundation will seek to create a health care culture where

• Children who are affected by cancer receive world-class care and support in northeast Ohio;
• The public is aware that childhood cancers, which are as prevalent as adult cancers, are the number 1 disease killer of children;
• Funding for research for childhood cancers increases dramatically; and
• Childhood cancer survival rates increases to near 100%.
