San Diego County Dental Foundation (SDCDF) was founded in 1992 by dentists in the San Diego County area to provide funding for dental health education and access.

Our flagship project is the John Geis DDS Dental Clinic at VVSD, which provides no-cost comprehensive dental care to formerly homeless veterans, so they are enabled and empowered to live with purpose, confidence, and success.

SDCDF is also involved in Give Kids A Smile, a program that partners with private practice dentists and public clinics to provide free oral health care to hundreds of underserved kids in our region.

We provide toothbrushes and oral hygiene supplies to communities in need and offer scholarships to local students entering dental schools. Our organization also facilitates volunteers for community events and programs.

Our goal is to provide underserved San Diego County residents with bright healthy smiles in an effort to close the dental care gap and build the foundation for healthier mouths and empowered individuals.
