- The Safety Council has begun the major community redevelopment project of renovating the Park Woods Pool & Community Center. For over 50 years, the pool was a central gathering point in the community. Several generations of families have spent the majority of their summers swimming, staying cool, enjoying fellowship and celebrating their family milestones at the pool. The renovation is a long-term project to secure the funds that will bring the pool back to life. The current target date for reopening is summer of 2014.
