San Jose Peace and Justice Center (SJPJC) programs are paid for entirely by participant donations, supplemented by sustaining member donations. SJPJC has long envisioned expanding its programming through collaborations with public libraries in which programs are always completely free of charge. In order to make our programs more accessible both financially and geographically, we are seeking funding to sustain public access educational programs.

Resource Center for Social Activism

A vibrant community is one in which residents are collectively engaged in social activism to improve the local governance, environment, and unity in diversity. A longer-range goal is to create alternative systems and institutions that are socially egalitarian and inclusive. Since 1986, SJPJC has provided a home for these activities.

Today SJPJC also provides not only a space for community organizations to meet and hold public programs, but aids in publicity and makes available equipment (canopies, sound systems, video projection) for social activism. SJPJC's online and e-mail community calendar is now the primary resource in the South Bay for social activism events.

Capital Campaign
A long-range extension of the Resource Center is the launching of a capital campaign to upgrade and eventually expand our facilities to create a multi-organization nucleus of community-based social activism with an incubator for advancement of a cooperative economy.
