Today, over 650 vulnerable and precious children will be empowered, fed and educated. Today, children will be encouraged to reach their potential. We believe in the power of education to not only save and change lives, but to re-build communities.

The mission of SJB Child Development Centers is to provide education, child development, food programs and support to vulnerable children and their families. For 43 years, SJB has educated, empowered, fed and supported over 40,000 disadvantaged children and family members. SJB exsists because we believe all children, regardless of their economic background, deserve to be educated by committed, credentialed and skilled professionals in a warm and safe enviroment that engages and inspires! In order to educate and empower our at-risk and disadvantaged children and their families, we must first ensure that they have access to education, food, developmental tools, positive adult role models and family support. Our mission stems from the vision of our founder, Mr. Bill Williams, who had the desire to help parents establish financial independence by creating a safe place where they could bring their children while they worked. He also set out to break the cycle of poverty by offering education-based child care so that the children of his center would have access to the same developmental and nutritional opportunities as those from more affluent families.
