Thanks to incredible supporters, Sandy Springs Education Force (SSEF) continues to educate, inspire and prepare students for success in a competitive world. Donors fuel life-changing programs that open doors for students at every stage of their educational journey. We hope you'll support SSEF for Giving Tuesday this year! There is even a new angel donor who will match 2-to-1 all donations of $50 or more made by or postmarked by December 6th. Every $100 you donate to SSEF becomes $300! 

This year, SSEF expanded impactful initiatives and enhanced students' experiences at every grade level. Here is just a sample of our 17 programs positively impacting students:

High Demand Career Fair. We more than doubled the number of employers participating in our High Demand Career Fair this year! Seniors and juniors had the opportunity to learn from 29 exhibitors and 2 SSEF volunteer-led information tables. Exhibitors provided valuable insights about jobs, internships, apprenticeships and training programs designed to launch students into high-demand careers with real opportunities for advancement right after high school. The impact was clear. An overwhelming 95.5% of students were satisfied or very satisfied with the event, and many expressed appreciation for the diverse range of career options and pathways they discovered. One senior commented that the event helped him envision an exciting future beyond graduation. 

 

After-School STEAM Clubs. SSEF hired teachers and enlisted volunteers to empower students to design and create drones, robots and solar-powered devices. At our 14th Annual STEAM Showcase, students proudly displayed their projects, with one robotics club member noting, “We’re building the skills, knowledge, and teamwork that will drive the future.” 

Summer Book Club. SSEF employed teachers in our schools to work with students from Dunwoody Springs, High Point and Ison Springs Elementary for six weeks. Students met virtually to discuss the book of the week and participated in related activities and then celebrated their accomplishments at a party at the end of the summer. Participants in this program consistently maintain or increase reading levels, and students love this program. Daniella, a 5th grader, commented, “I wish we could have book club every week of every year!”This Giving Tuesday, you can make a difference. Every dollar helps expand programs, reach more students and ensure every child in our public school has access to supplemental programs that help them thrive.Together, we can empower the next generation to dream big, work hard and succeed.I hope you will want to support this vital work!
