The majority of us involved in SALT have lost a loved one to suicide and don't want another family to go through what we've been through. We want to reduce the stigma related to suicide, mental illness and substance abuse. We know that is the general public becomes suicide aware, by learning the warning signs and not being afraid to ask about suicide, we van make the suicide rate in Kern County go down. We will do that by working closely with other agencies to spread awareness with education and reduce stugma by speaking out and sharing our stories
