Back in 2013, no one would have called Barb Phillips a lawbreaker. And yet today, she proudly answers to a title no one else can claim: the Horse Thief.Saving Gracie started not with a massive vision but rather a single incident — one that has come to define the determination, grit, and spirit of our small-but-mighty nonprofit.It was the moment that Barb realized 100+ starving animals were living just miles away — including a very special horse named Gracie — and the moment she decided to do something about it.

At Saving Gracie, our care extends far beyond the excitement of rescue day. By providing a permanent home with world-class veterinary care on site, we rebuild the stable, dignified life that horses deserve.

The Saving Gracie Equine Healing Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) animal rescue and sanctuary. Our focus is primarily on horses and farm animals.

We bring abused, neglected, surrendered, and abandoned animals to our farm. We provide safety, love, compassion, and ‘Gold Standard’ medical care that they deserve. By telling their stories, we offer the community the opportunity to become involved in their healing process through donation. To sum up our mission statement: all animals matter and deserve our compassion and care.
