Why support South Carolina AABE?
Since 2003, the South Carolina Chapter of AABE has awarded more than 130 scholarships to graduating seniors equal to approximately $150,000. The Chapter received over 120 scholarship applications in 2020. The total scholarship funds awarded in 2020 equaled $12,000. The scholarship committee, comprised of chapter members, spent many hours evaluating applications and determining the winners. A virtual celebration to honor the AABE scholars was held via WebEx on Thursday, June 26 to recognize the 11 graduating seniors and welcome them to the rolls of the South Carolina AABE Scholars.
The 2020 AABE scholars will attend the University of South Carolina, Clemson University, Furman University, Anderson University, University of Georgia, Howard University and Georgia Institute of Technology. The students majors include computer science, engineering, biology, health sciences, cyber security and math.
The Chapter’s commitment to helping students fund their education is a primary function of the Chapter and absolutely necessary. It is a continued mission and could not be accomplished without the generous financial contributions from AABE members and community supporters.
The Mission of AABE

These goals provide our membership and the community with tangible benefits that will enhance their knowledge of the energy industry, provide professional and leadership development opportunities, and support the education of our youth.
