It is a place where we come together to celebrate our joys, share our sorrows, and collectively work towards a brighter future. In a world where we often find ourselves immersed in the fast pace of daily life, our communities provide a safe haven where we can truly connect with one another.

At Southern Crescent Habitat for Humanity we build homes and hope, but we know that the work we do is only possible because of the community! Housing is a fundamental human need, and it is disheartening to see so many individuals and families struggling to find safe and affordable shelter. It is in times like these that organizations like ours provide a glimmer of hope and support for the 1 in 7 Georgia households that are severely cost-burdened— those spending more than 50% of their income on housing.

With the support of people like you in our community, we have been able to help over 450 families find stability, self reliance, and strength through housing in Clayton, Henry, and Fayette counties. These individuals no longer have to make the tough decision between which basic necessities they are able to provide for their families. They are able to become active citizens, their children flourish, and their overall well being improves. Your gifts have impacted families like The Dorsey's and thousands of individuals, giving them stable environments to thrive and building a community of neighbors – but there is still much work to do.

Southern Crescent Habitat for Humanity builds affordable homes and completes home repairs for low-income families, who need a hand up, not a handout.
