Score Mentors - Chapter 87 Volusia Flagler

SCORE’s mission is to foster vibrant small business communities through mentoring and education.  

We Offer Free & Confidential Counseling to Help You Grow Your Small Business. Our Chapter has been helping local Volusia and Flagler County small business owners and new entrepreneurs for over fifty years.

In 2019, our local volunteers met with 567 people and have assisted them with their ideas to start a new business or make improvements to their existing business. We have already surpassed that number in 2020, our current 26 Active Volunteers have managed to counsel 755 local Volusia & Flagler County residents via Zoom, Email or Phone Mentoring - as well as face to face mentoring prior to COVID19 regulations. Total Volunteer Hours for FY 2020 so far 1,287!

What We  Provide?

• Free confidential business COUNSELING in person or via email.
• Free business WORKSHOPS.
• Free business TOOLS, templates, and tips.

We are one chapter out of 350 that make up SCORE National (SCORE.org), a nonprofit with over 11,000 volunteer counselors nationwide. Our parent organization falls under the Small Business Administration (www.SBA.gov) within the Department of Commerce.

Because our work is supported by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), and thanks to both our volunteers and generous local sponsors, we are able to deliver our services at no charge. However, with recent budget changes in FY 2020, the majority of our funding has been cut drastically.
