$5,000 Goal

Founded in 1917, Girl Scouts San Diego creates opportunities for members to build their leadership skills through girl-led programs. We provide Girl Scouts with trusted adult leaders and mentors, tested programming, and purposeful, engaging projects that instill in them the skills and resiliency to find solutions, make positive choices, become confident leaders, and create a path to a bright future.

Research shows that Girl Scouts are more likely than non-Girl Scouts to have a strong sense of self and positive values, seek challenges, learn from setbacks, develop and maintain healthy relationships, and exhibit community problem-solving skills.

Our world needs strong leaders, and Girl Scouts is, unequivocally, the world’s best leadership development experience for girls. In the U.S.:

  •  50% of female business leaders were Girl Scouts.
  • 76% of female senators were Girl Scouts.
  • 80% of all female tech leaders were Girl Scouts.

Girl Scouts explore opportunities that enable them to identify their unique interests and passions, which then lead to their individual commitment of making the world a better place. Taking Girl Scouts’ full potential and combining it with strong adult mentors and robust skill-building programs results in young adults who are poised and prepared to take on leadership positions.

All girls, regardless of their ability to pay, can have these profoundly life-changing opportunities, thanks to support from the San Diego and Imperial County communities. Please join us to champion our unparalleled leadership development experience for them. Your partnership can make a big difference. https://www.sdgirlscouts.org/
