“Stand By The Arts”

The Seacoast Repertory Theatre is offering you a chance to Stand By The Arts at a critical moment in our culture, by donating now to our biggest fund drive of the year. The National Endowment for the Arts, the main federal supporter of live theater, has begun eliminating grants to arts organizations, and the entire agency faces elimination. Likewise, the New Hampshire Council for the Arts is threatened. Both agencies are important funding sources for the Rep and other arts organizations. What this means is the arts community, more than ever, needs us. We are asking you to Stand By the Arts, and support the Rep, with your donations.

Our main 2025 fund drive is starting now. Your donations keep great theater on stage at the Rep and help the arts thrive in our community. Ticket sales only make up about 65 percent of what it takes to keep our stage lights shining. The rest comes from the generous contributions of our community. Donations also allow you to demonstrate your support for keeping the Rep strong, even if you can’t attend every show.

Rather than asking you to meet an overall financial goal for this fund drive, we are encouraging you to make your numbers visible by joining our theater community as donors. You will be recognized by name in our show programs, and you can see your impact in the quality of our productions. Our board members have generously offered to step up their own support, by increasing the amount of your donations they will match with their own money and thereby multiplying the power of your contributions.
