Seacoast Soul Models

At Soul Models, we believe middle school is a turning point. It’s a time when young girls start asking big questions about who they are, where they belong, and whether they’re enough.

Soul Models was created because we saw too many students facing these questions without the tools to navigate them. Girls are experiencing rising levels of anxiety, disconnection, and self-doubt. According to the CDC’s 2021 Youth Risk Behavior Survey, 57% of teen girls reported feeling persistently sad or hopeless over the past year. That is the highest level recorded in more than a decade.

Our response was to create a space that would offer a new kind of support to middle school girls. 

Soul Models offers after-school and Summer programs that center wellness, connection, and leadership. We partner with public schools across the Seacoast of New Hampshire and Southern Maine to provide sessions that include mindfulness, movement, journaling, art, music, and community service. These creative and reflective practices give girls the space to slow down, be themselves, and connect with others.

Our programs are co-facilitated by local entrepreneurs - women who model strength, vulnerability, and care. We work closely with school guidance counselors to reach students who will benefit from Soul Models' programming. Together, we’ve built something powerful - a circle of support that wraps around young girls at a time they need it most.

We’ve seen the impact. Students show up more engaged. They speak with more confidence. They begin to believe in their own value. For many, Soul Models becomes the safe space where growth truly begins.
