Our Mission

Second Helpings Atlanta is a nonprofit food rescue organization reducing hunger and food waste in Metro Atlanta by rescuing surplus food and delivering it to those in need. We connect food donors, partner agencies, and volunteers to help feed our hungry neighbors.

Our Impact

Since 2004, Second Helpings Atlanta has built a network of businesses, nonprofits, and individuals dedicated to food security. Every day, our team rescues surplus food and ensures it reaches those who need it, rather than ending up in landfills. In 2023 alone, we rescued over 5.8 million pounds of food, providing more than 4.8 million meals across Metro Atlanta.
