Second Star Travel Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding educational opportunities, personal growth, and community engagement for youth through travel, exploration, mentorship, and experiential learning. Our programs are designed to inspire young people to dream beyond their current circumstances, develop confidence in their abilities, and build meaningful connections within their communities and the world around them.

Spread Their Wings Initiative

Our flagship program, the Spread Their Wings Initiative, provides deserving graduating high school seniors with access to educational travel experiences that may otherwise be financially out of reach. Through a community nomination process, students are selected based on character, academic effort, leadership potential, community involvement, and personal perseverance.

The initiative seeks to demonstrate that education extends beyond the classroom and that travel can be a powerful tool for learning. Participants experience history, culture, geography, language, and global citizenship firsthand while developing independence, confidence, and leadership skills. Our inaugural educational journey is planned for Greece in 2027, where students will explore significant historical and cultural sites while participating in guided educational experiences.

In addition to travel opportunities, the program promotes kindness, community service, educational achievement, and civic engagement by encouraging students to become positive role models within their communities.

Community Fundraising and Engagement Programs

To support our mission and create opportunities for community involvement, Second Star Travel Inc. organizes educational and family-friendly fundraising events throughout the year. These events are designed to strengthen community connections while generating support for youth programs.

Second Star Travel Inc. is actively working toward the development of the Second Star Adventure Center, a long-term initiative designed to address the growing need for safe, engaging, and educational environments for youth.

The Adventure Center will provide opportunities for:

The center is envisioned as an immersive, old-world fairytale-style village where learning becomes an adventure. Through hands-on experiences, youth will be encouraged to explore future careers, develop practical life skills, and build confidence in a safe and supportive environment.
