Seda Theatre is celebrating 5 years of producing bold Iranian theatre and building a community of artists, supporters and collaborators in Seattle!

Your support today will help us grow for the next 5 years by continuing to produce new and existing works by Iranian and middle-eastern playwrights and expanding opportunities on and off stage for immigrant theatre artists.

Over the past five years, we have been conscious and responsive to social issues that are happening in our community, while expanding our connection with other theaters in Seattle. We have stayed nimble, flexible and also conscious of our resources and how we can grow steadily and with purpose. We have moved to a fiscal sponsorship under Shunpike to be able to grow our funding and pay artists a better wage. We also continue exploring how we can reach a larger community through bilingual work. This is just the beginning of our multicultural efforts and your support will help us grow our reach

Seda Iranian Theatre Ensemble is an Iranian theater company based in Seattle that produces theatrical and educational programming by and for Iranian and non-Iranian immigrants and refugee communities whose ‘voice’ – or Seda in Persian – often remains unheard. We believe that awareness and understanding through the arts changes our perspective, brings our hearts closer and eventually leads to peace.
