Seeds of New Leaf was founded in 2021 by the daughters of Micheal T. White, a prominent leader of the recovery community in Louisville, KY, to carry on his life’s legacy. Currently funded by a grant through SAMHSA and the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Seeds of New Leaf boasts two no-cost programs: Rolling Recovery and Treatment First. Rolling Recovery is our 24/7 mobile response “Treatment-on-Demand van” available to adults in Jefferson County with Substance Use Disorder or co-occurring mental illness. It is equipped with certified Peer Support Specialists who begin with a screening and assessment to determine an appropriate level of care for an individual, direct transportation to the level of care, and linkage to other community-based resources as needed. Treatment First is our secondary program, available to folks serviced by Rolling Recovery, to whom we can offer funds toward rental fees at an approved recovery house while an individual is enrolled in an IOP program.
