Sego Lily Center for the Abused Deaf (SLCAD) is a unique advocacy agency designed to meet the specific needs of Deaf, Deaf/Blind and Hard of Hearing victims of domestic violence, dating violence, stalking and sexual assault.  Our agency is one of 15 programs across the nation that serves Deaf victims. Since the establishment of our agency in 2000, we have served approximately 300 Deaf victims.

Fast-forward to 13 years later, today we have expanded our program now serving out of 3 offices located in Salt Lake City, South Salt Lake City and St. George. We have begun to see an increase of victims receiving services and court ordered protection. With your donation, Sego Lily will be able to provide emergency assistance for victims who need to escape from violence.

Family violence knows no social, ethnic, economic, cultural, or religious barrier: it fails to discriminate by culture, age, and physical or sensory capacity. However, with supportive services and a place to go, many Deaf and Hard of Hearing victims are able heal and produce empowered lives for themselves and their children. It takes a community to make this happen and together we can work toward eliminating violence from our society.

Thank for your support to end violence in the Deaf community in Utah.
