Selva International

SELVA International was founded in 2008 after the founders were travelling in South America discussing the ineffectual practices of many helicopter organizations that infringe their own ideas on local communities and create projects reliant upon outside managers. We wanted to start an NGO that integrated sustainable solutions while working directly with local people to help meet their needs within their environment using their own resources. Thus SELVA was born.

• Protection of the giant Amazon river turtle

• Amazon X - Field study program for university students and professors

• Lawn Be Gone Workshops in partnership with LADWP and local organizations

• Westwood and WLA Farmers' Market Sponsorships

• Eco-Education Campaign
