Senior Citizens Community Center Inc

We are a daily center for active Seniors to come to for food, friendship and fun.  We had our 35th Anniversary in 2014.  We deliver approximately 200 hot meals daily and additional 200 + for the weekend. We are the only agency that delivers hot meals daily (and frozen meals for weekends) on a donation basis to Homebound Seniors and Disabled Adults in Bonneville County (we are unable to utilize a sliding scale or charge do to The Older American's Act of 1965).  This helps our participants keep more of their limited income to spend on perscriptions and other necessary items.  Some of our participants do not have any family members. For some participants, our drivers are the only person they see.  Our drivers do a wellness check on each person they deliver to and take birthday cards and cake to them when it is their birthday.  Sometimes during our wellness checks, we do find our participants in distress. Some have fallen, some have been in a diabetic coma, one or two have had a stroke.   If not for our drivers, these seniors may have not had the help they needed.
