Senior Services of Alexandria (SSA) helps older adults in our community stay independent, connected, and cared for.

For many seniors, aging brings real challenges—food insecurity, isolation, and limited access to essential services. SSA is often the difference between struggling alone and having the support needed to live with dignity.

🌟 What We Do

• Meals on WheelsDelivering nutritious meals 7 days a week to homebound seniors—often the only meal and human connection they receive that day.
• Groceries to Go
  Providing biweekly grocery deliveries, ensuring seniors have consistent access to fresh, healthy food.
• AniMeals
  Helping seniors care for their beloved pets by providing pet food and basic veterinary support—because no one should have to choose between feeding themselves or their companion.
• Friendly Caller Program
  Providing regular phone check-ins for seniors experiencing isolation—offering conversation, connection, and reassurance that someone cares.
• Friendly Visitor Program
  Offering companionship through visits and meaningful interactions that reduce loneliness and improve emotional well-being.
• Community Connection Program
  Bringing services directly into senior living communities, reducing barriers and connecting older adults to resources, social activities, and essential support where they live.
