Seniors Foundation

A nonprofit organization

The mission of the Seniors Foundation of Lincoln and Lancaster County is to enrich the lives of seniors by supporting Aging Partners, a local agency which provides nutritious meals, programs and services to seniors in the community. The Foundation also promotes the understanding and awareness of service needs for our community's aging population, as well as the financial and social importance of a strong aging services network.

The Seniors Foundation has been involved predominantly in brick and mortar projects, including the Downtown and Northeast Senior Centers in Lincoln. The early development of these two Senior Centers provided a place for seniors to gather and receive nutritious meals, have access to good nutrition, counseling and social interaction. These centers continue to thrive today.

The Seniors Foundation is also the first 501(c)(3) non-profit organization selected to develop the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) campus in the United States. The Foundation is diligently working to develop the Lincoln (VA) Campus at 70th & O Streets in Lincoln. Our vision for the VA Campus is to provide housing and services for veterans and seniors, a new VA Medical Clinic, retail space and medical health services.

Aging is a process which touches us all. As we experience the joys and challenges of growing older, the Seniors Foundation seeks to continually enrich the quality of life for aging adults and their families through a broad range of innovative services.
