Serenity Farm Horse Rescue

The USDA documented that 92.3 % of horses sent to slaughter are in good condition and are able to live out a productive life.

"I said "Somebody should do something about that."  Then I realized I am somebody." ~ Lily Tomlin

Established in 2019, Serenity Farm Horse Rescue is a recognized 501(c)(3) charitable organization devoted to rescuing and rehabilitating horses in need across Litchfield County and Connecticut. As a non-profit operation, our primary objective is to provide a secure haven for horses facing crisis, ensuring they receive the protection and care they truly deserve throughout their journey to healing and recovery.

Our mission extends beyond finding permanent, loving homes for these magnificent animals. We are dedicated to raising awareness about neglect and abuse within the equine community, advocating for their well-being, and fostering a more compassionate environment for horses through education and outreach efforts.

Situated on 7 picturesque acres in historic Woodbury, CT, Serenity Farm boasts beautiful paddocks and barns that provide a safe and loving space for our beloved rescues. Our dedicated team of volunteers, spanning various age groups, assist with chores, grooming, and spending quality time with these wonderful animals.

When you support Serenity Farm Horse Rescue, you actively join us in making a tangible difference in the lives of horses and the communities we serve. Together, we can offer these majestic creatures a much-deserved second chance at a life brimming with love, compassion, and serenity.

Will You be our somebody?
