ServiceSource Foundation Inc

The ServiceSource Foundation was established in 2004 to raise money to help bridge the gap for people with disabilities in their communities.

The ServiceSource Foundation assists ServiceSource by developing and providing resources that impact local communities in order to foster sensitivity and support for individuals with disabilities in order to increase their participation in community life.

ServiceSource provides a wide range of customized programs for individuals with disabilities and their families, employers and corporate partners.  The organization provides support to more than 13,000 people with disabilities annually through a range of employment, training, habilitation, housing and other services.  

ServiceSource specializes in providing employment opportunities for people with disabilities, and directly employs approximately 1,500 individuals with disabilities through affirmative employment contracts with the Federal Government under the AbilityOne program and with private sector employers.

Despite ServiceSource’s unparalleled success in serving individuals with disabilities, there remains a widening gap in terms of social acceptance and community inclusion for people with disabilities.  As budget dollars for social services for people with disabilities continue to decrease, the needs increase. 

The ServiceSource Foundation bridges the gap for many of the unfunded or under-funded programs that directly support people with disabilities.  Through community education, business networking and replication of non-funded, community-integrated programs, the Foundation promotes education and awareness while at the same time providing direct funding for programs that support people with disabilities.
