Shared Harvest Foodbank Inc

Founded in 1983, Shared Harvest Foodbank, a member of Feeding America, collects, warehouses, transports and distributes food to people living in poverty through a network of more than one hundred food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, schools, and clinics throughout Butler, Warren, Preble, Darke, and Miami counties. Shared Harvest can provide 8 meals for every $1.00 donated! 

How can Shared Harvest Foodbank provide 8 meals for every $1.00 donated? Your donation supports programs in which we rescue and distribute food from retailers, such as Kroger, Aldi, Target, Walmart, Meijer, and more. They support the delivery of USDA foods, funded through The Emergency Food Assistance Program, and food procured from our local foodbank association to more than 100 member agencies. Donations enable staffing of our SNAP Outreach Program, which provides nine meals for every one that we provide. With your donation, we can ensure that struggling senior citizens receive a nutritious package of food each month and that every Friday school-age children receive easy to prepare meals to cover the weekend with our BackPack Program.
