Shasta Wildlife Rescue, Rehabilitation, & Release Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the rehabilitation of injured and orphaned wildlife in the North State. We serve Shasta, Tehama, Siskiyou, Trinity, and Lassen Counties. Through all of our efforts we seek to reduce the negative impact humans have on our wild neighbors, including educating the public about our native species and how to better live with them without causing harm. Each year we take in approximately 800-1000 wild animals in need. Our mission is supported through donations. There is no federal or state funding for wildlife rehabilitation as of yet and donations are much needed to help feed and treat the patients who come into our care. Our food costs for last year exceeded $30,000. We are in need of continued support in order to carry out our mission.
