Our goal as the healthcare provider in the greater Shingletown area to provide not only medical care, but healthcare in to the community.  Social determinates of health have proven to include medical care, fitness and healthy eating.  

Shingletown Medical Center is again participating in North State Giving Tuesday (NSGT).  We are reaching out once again to request your support for the food center we manage for the greater Shingletown Community.   The Shingletown Emergency Food & Outreach Center (SEFOC) provides essential groceries to families in need within our community. Especially at this time of increasing demand and higher food costs, we are facing a shortage of food supplies and need your financial contribution to ensure we can continue to serve those relying on our assistance.  As an example of the increased cost of food, in 2023/2024 a $1,000 food order filled 2 pick-up trucks.  Now that same dollar amount fills a Honda SUV!  Your donations during the 2025 North State Giving Tuesday event raised $13,436.  That is the largest total we have received in the 8 years we have participated in NSGT!!   Our GOAL for 2025 is again $10,000.  This will supplement the grant money we usually receive and assure the SMC food center will be able to continue to assist the community through 2026.  Unfortunately, we are not receiving the usual grant funds at this time due to the federal government program holds.

With your donation, we will be able to purchase critical food items that make a significant difference in the lives of our neighbors struggling to put food on their tables. Even a small contribution can go a long way in helping us reach our goal of continuing to provide this vital service to our community.

This year, one lucky donor will receive a free annual Turtle Bay family membership just by donating online on 12/02/25 between 5:00 – 6:00 pm.
