Give Local to Feed Local

It is our goal as the healthcare provider in the greater Shingletown area to provide not only medical care, but healthcare in to the community.  Social determinates of health have proven to include medical care, fitness and healthy eating.  

Once again our campaign is supporting the SMC Emergency Food Closet.  Our GOAL this year is to raise $10,000.  In addition to keeping the food closet stocked, we’d like to replace our commercial refrigerator that decided to stop refrigerating last month.  We’re hoping we can raise enough donations to allow is to replace the refrigerator and keep the emergency food closet stocked.

Grocery costs have increased 11.4% in this past year.  Did you know that it costs $67 to fill a fall food basket?  Regrettably, our grant funds are not going nearly as far as in previous years while we continue to see an increase in families and individuals in our community facing food insecurity.
