Congregation Shir Tikvah

Congregation Shir Tikvah has matured from a small start-up on the Eastside of Portland into a community of more than 200 households. We are an engaged congregation committed to the fundamental Jewish values of study, prayer, and acts of loving kindness. 

After years of planning, our community is  stepping into the future. We are creating an inviting, open space for the next generation of Jews in the Portland metro area. In collaboration with the Eastside Jewish Commons, we invite you to share in our vision for communal Jewish space in Portland. 

Our spiritual leader, Rabbi Ariel Stone is locally and nationally recognized for her work on civil rights and social justice. 

She not only has the longest tenure of any congregational rabbi in the Portland area, but she's the first female Senior Rabbi in the state of Oregon.
