Sickle Cell Disease Association of America - Mobile Chapter

Sickle cell is an inherited genetic disease that can cause severe chronic pain, organ damage, and complications that can lead to early death.  No universal cure for sickle cell disease has been found.  The Sickle Cell Disease Association of America – Mobile Chapter provides essential social services to individuals diagnosed with sickle cell disease.  We also seek to educate the public about this often misunderstood disease, providing testing to the community and counseling services to all those diagnosed with sickle cell trait. 

 The Association does its best to serve the communities within our nine-county service area with limited resources.  Your donations greatly assist the Association in maintaining valuable services and improving the quality of life for those affected by sickle cell disease.  We hope that all who share our vision will continue to support the Association and encourage others to do the same.  We would like to express our deep appreciation to all contributors for their commitment and generosity as we work towards making a difference in the lives of the many children, adults and families affected by this painful disease.
