Silicon Valley Creates

SVCreates is a 21st Century “venture culturist,” using a combination of entrepreneurial strategies to accelerate Silicon Valley’s creative culture:

• FUNDING innovative artwork and collaborations through a variety of grants opportunities for individuals and organizations
• NURTURING emerging arts leaders through capacity building programs and the genARTS Network
• RAISING THE VISIBILITY AND VALUE of local arts and culture through Content Magazine
• INCREASING ACCESS to creative experiences for all ages through ArtsEdConnect and ShakeXperience

To amplify our impact, we also partner with organizations that share our vision of a vibrant community fueled by arts and culture. Two examples of this approach are our Creative Center for the Arts in Japantown, and Imagine VMC at Valley Medical Center:

The Creative Center for the Arts is a collaboration of arts and cultural organizations, community groups, and civic leaders, working together to design a 56,000 sq ft. facility in Japantown that advances community priorities and provides an innovative solution to arts displacement and shared services in Silicon Valley.

Imagine VMC brings together a variety of Silicon Valley’s cherished arts and cultural organizations, to infuse the new Women & Children’s Center at Valley Medical Center with creative spaces, interactive exhibits and programs that reflect Silicon Valley culture, inspire joy and learning, and demonstrate the healing power of the arts.
