Silicon Valley Pet Project (SVPP) is a nonprofit animal welfare organization committed to saving local at-risk shelter pets through rescue, community involvement, and education. We rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome cats and dogs of all breeds, primarily from the San Jose Animal Care and Services Center (SJACS), one of the largest municipal shelters on the West Coast.

Since launching our rescue efforts in February, 2015 SVPP has saved nearly 350 cats and dogs, including some of the most vulnerable populations in shelters – senior and special needs pets and adult cats.

In May of 2016 SVPP partnered with the co-founders of The Dancing Cat (TDC), to reopen the first adult cat adoption lounge in Silicon Valley. TDC provides our cats with a relaxed, communal environment where they can comfortably meet potential adopters. It's also a creative space for all cat lovers to meet, mingle and take part in educational activities and events in our community.

Silicon Valley Pet Project is dedicated to improving the lives of homeless pets by finding new and innovative ways to connect them with loving forever homes, thereby reducing the euthanasia rate in Silicon Valley.
