Silicon Valley Youth Bridge (SiVY Bridge) offers free after school bridge classes for 4ththrough 8th graders. By providing an accessible, well-structured, and fun way to learn the game, the goal of the SiVY Bridge program is to inspire the next generation of bridge players on the San Francisco peninsula and surrounding areas.

We offer After School Programs which provide a fun way to improve children's academic performance and social skills. We also offer fun Kids Events where young, aspiring bridge players can interact with children outside of their own schools.

The SiVY Bridge program is based on the American Contract Bridge League (ACBL) School Bridge Lesson Series. More than 4000 youngsters participate in this program each year in schools throughout North America. This proven curriculum is delivered by trained teachers from the local area.

Where offered, the SiVY Bridge program will be available to any child with an interest in learning. Students will benefit in areas such as: academic enrichment, socialization, teamwork, and logic/deductive reasoning. These benefits have been confirmed by research and similar programs in other parts of the country.

SiVY Bridge, a part of the Center for Bridge Education headquarted in San Francisco, is working together with the American Contract Bridge League (ACBL), Palo Alto Unit 503 and Santa Clara Valley Unit 507 of the ACBL.

Mission Statement

To promote academic excellence in the areas of math, critical thinking and logic, to foster positive social interactions and teamwork, and to provide an opportunity for a lifetime of learning, enjoyment and community by inspiring the next generation of bridge players.
