The Silver Tones Swing Band is based in Warrenton, VA, and is made up of professional musicians from the Northern Virginia area. Led by trumpeter Dave Shuma and vocalist Wendy Marie, the Silver Tones started in 2012 and have been performing all over the DC Metropolitan Area since then in addition to serving Fauquier County. The band is proud to bring to the stage their Silver Belles vocal trio, who recreate the exciting music of the Andrews Sisters from the 1940s era. Solo vocalists, Wendy Marie and Gene Bates, also bring audiences the dynamic music of Natalie Cole, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Bette Midler, Ella Fitzgerald, Bobby Darin, and Peggy Lee, plus many others. The Silver Tones' show consists of the classic big band swing hits from the 1940s plus many more show-stopping tunes from the 1950s, 1960s, and beyond.

Over the last six years, the Silver Tones have donated performances to raise money for Fauquier County Schools music programs and have raised over $20,000 for these programs. At each performance, student musicians are invited to play alongside Silver Tones musicians, and the students take part in rehearsals and the performance for each fundraiser. The Silver Tones also perform gratis or at heavily reduced rates for community events, nursing homes, and other fundraising efforts.
