Reducing Our Ecological Footprint - Installing water bottle filling stations!

Silverwood actively gets students outside to explore the natural world around them. We are a "pack-it-in, pack-it-out" school to try to reduce food-related waste. We ask our students to bring food and water to campus in reusable containers only. Since COVID, however, our drinking fountains have been decommissioned. This year, we are raising funds to install new water bottle filling stations, like the one pictured here:

These fountains significantly reduce plastic waste, encourage students to take an active part in being more ecologically friendly, and keep our students (and staff!) hydrated.

The first $1,000 will allow us to install a unit in the Commons - our main eating area (although most students elect to eat outside!). The next $1,000 will let us install a second unit in our new 6-7-8 grade Farmhouse classroom for our new middle school!

Thank you for any support of our school!
